I’m delighted to tell you that Chocadyllic has found a permanent home in Jersey! It’s in an excellent location off Mount Bingham, in a quiet cul-de-sac. The Chocolate Studio is now set and is perfect for creating chocolates for everyone. I’ve already created a couple of commissions here and am looking forward to making some delicious treats for you, and also for Christmas!

Feel free to visit the Chocolate Shop for some chocolate treats and gifts or take a look at the Gallery for inspiration for your own chocolatey creation.

Evelyn Day - Extreme Chocolate Maker

Extreme chocolate maker

Hi – I’m Evelyn Day – I’m a chocolate architect and I’ve recently relocated to the beautiful island of Jersey. I’ve been passionate about chocolate all my life and I’ve found a way to translate that passion into (incr)edible art!

Inspired by my love of travel and architecture I make wonderful chocolates for everyone to enjoy.

I featured on Channel 4’s Extreme Chocolate Makers. A lighthearted TV series showcasing extreme chocolate makers in the United Kingdom.

You can still catch the show on All 4. Now also available on Netflix.

A look behind the scenes

People often ask me how I started working in chocolate and how Chocadyllic started. This video asks those questions and more.

You can also see The Making of the Thai Shrine in Chocolate on my YouTube channel.

I’d love to know what you think, so please comment on the videos.

Chocadyllic and CoronaVirus

Chocadyllic has remained open by practising excellent food safety standards and has acquired the Industry Standard mark. We follow government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, and have a Risk Assessment in place. We also keep to a high standard of cleanliness.

Contact me when restrictions life, to arrange a visit. Shop opening hours are usually Monday to Friday 11am to 5pm.

I look forward to welcoming you to the Chocolate Shop soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

People often want to know more about my chocolate creations. Pease don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any more questions. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

How much notice do you need?

Everything is handmade to order making each one unique. This takes time and means no two pieces are alike. Please take a look at the product information for how much notice an order will need. I usually post out orders once a week. Urgent requests can be accommodated for an additional charge.

How long do postal orders take?

Jersey post takes approximately 1-3 days. Post to the UK usually takes 3-5 days however the impact of the pandemic on postal services means it can take up to two weeks. There is an option to pay extra for a tracked and traced service.

Do you deliver your chocolate sculptures?

Yes, chocolate sculptures are delivered for free in Jersey.

How much do you charge for your chocolate work?

I like to work with my clients’ budgets in mind. So do get in touch and we can plan your very own special chocolate showpiece to fit your requirements.

How long do your sculptures take to make?

The amount of time it takes to make a chocolate showpiece depends on the size and design of the creation. The smaller and simpler pieces take around 2-3 hours whilst the large showpieces can take 2-3 days. The very large pieces can take 3-4 weeks. I can often work to clients’ budgets by tailoring the design, scale and complexity.

How long do your chocolate sculptures last?

I use the best possible Belgian couverture chocolate which has long best before dates. Dark chocolate can last for up to 18 months. One of my chocolate sculptures can keep for years if you wanted to keep it on show. You will need to keep it in the right conditions – away from sunlight and other heat sources. I can also provide beautiful clear acrylic covers for display purposes.

Do you make cakes?

I make the most delicious and tasty cakes, even if I say so myself! My signature chocolate cake is legendary and always goes down well at celebrations and events.
I make the cakes in three different sizes; small (serves 8-10 people), medium (16-20 people), or large (28-40 people).

Additionally I tend to make the cakes separately from the chocolate showpieces. This way neither the taste of the cake or the chocolate sculpture is compromised. However, on request, I can also design your sculpture to incorporate a cake into the plinth for the showpiece to sit on.
Clients can provide their own cake if they prefer, so long as it doesn’t have to form part of the showpiece.

It is very important to me that what I create tastes as good as it looks. I use the best quality ingredients including local Jersey produce and high quality Belgian couverture chocolate. The dark chocolate is vegan. You can see the ingredients in each of the products listings. I also use biodegradable packaging wherever possible.

Ingredients are listed for each product with allergens highlighted in bold. Before ordering, speak to a member of staff if you have any food allergies or intolerances.

I’d love to hear from you!
